My short fiction and essays have been published in McSweeney’s, The Awl, Brain, Child, and in a number of literary journals and anthologies. My work has also been read aloud on NPR. And I am the author of a children’s book called If I Wrote a Book About You, which will be released on May 1, 2014 by Simply Read Books. My personal blog is called Crooked House. I am a student in the University of British Columbia’s M.F.A. program in Creative Writing but I write (and edit) for hire, too.
The main commercial services I offer are listed on the Services page. I love variety — one day I’ll be composing a fun list for an entertainment website, the next I’ll be proofreading a professional management consultant’s textbook. The day after that, I’ll do some developmental editing with a shaman who is writing an e-book. For two weeks, I’ll collaborate via Skype with an executive in Saudi Arabia who wants some help writing personal essays for his application to an Ivy League grad school. And then for a couple of days I’ll ghostwrite some children’s stories. And on every single one of those days, I’ll post on facebook for a commercial client and communicate by email with freelancers who are writing posts for a blog I manage. If you need a freelance writer and/or editor, please contact me at stephany.aulenback AT gmail.com.
